About the event

We have presented the Filipino-Spanish fusion cuisines last November 18 and the Chinese influences on Filipino food last October 28,  we are inviting you to the 3rd dinner event featuring Filipino-American fusion.  In April 1898, the United States declared war against Spain and took over control of the entire Philippines as well as Guam, Cuba, Puerto Rico and other islands in the Pacific.  This is the beginning of modernizing the Filipino cuisines, infusion of new flavors and food processing techniques.  With the purpose of re-representing Filipino dishes, it's roots and how it became a fusion, Eggrolly will be  showcasing dishes personally curated  by the chefs and their team reflecting on Western influences that still exist today and continue to evolve in the Philippine culinary stages, specifically in Manila.  Gaining popularity today, chefs and restauranteurs in the Philippines are changing the dining experiences by introducing casual and fine dining tasting menu arrangements from high end hotspots, hotels and resorts to corner cafes.  Modern food plating approaches and preparations can be seen on media and magazines featuring very talented Filipino chefs.
